Quite pleased

| I spent several weeks researching stand alone photo printers. My first priority was I wanted something that printed out a good quality photo. I am pleased with the output of the printer. I read on some reviews at other places that if you hold the photo up at a certain angle in bright line you can see faint streaks on the photo - from the printer roller. This is true, but not something I'm noticing with the photo flat in a frame or in a scrapbook. I really have to play around with the photo to see them. The overall photo quality was very good and comparable with a printer I tested that cost an additional $100. The printer was easy to setup and use. The interface easy to figure out without using the directions provided. The photo frames while something I'll wont use often were fun to play around with. If you're looking at the print resolution of up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi function - be warned you need to have it hooked up to your computer to utilize that. Overall a very good product and am glad I took the time to research my options. |

Can it give it 6 stars?? I could not be happier with this printer. I just got it last night and printed about 40 pictures already. I bought a new canon camera recently (Canon PowerShot S5-IS) with the quality of pictures it takes and the pictures that this printer puts out, you would have thought they were proffesionally done.
The print quality is amazing. The printer has an auto-photo fix built to help print a better picture. It will print calandars, collages, pictures with frames, and even a picture index! I have tried them all out and very pleased with the results. It is very user friendly and I am sure that my kids would be able to use it with out a problem.
I would highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a compact printer. The printer is small enough to take with you!! Great, Great, Great Product!! |

After fighting with and subsequently ditching my hp photosmart printer for a brother laser printer, I purchased this printer so that I could still print some photos at home. I usually print out photos for the sole purpose of hanging on the fridge or to give to the grandmas....any heavy duty prints I order from www.mpix.com. If I would have written this review a few days ago I would have rated it poorly, but now that I have had a few days to play I realize that I am just a big dummy instead.
1. I have always used an hp printer so I have mounds of hp paper lying around. The prints that were coming out looked horrible. They smudged, had roller marks and the colors were not that great. This morning I went to Target and for less than $15.00 bought a 100 count package of 4x6 glossy photo II paper and WOW what a difference. The first photo that I printed looked amazing, the quality is comparable to the ones that I send away for.
2. When I was setting up the printer it kept giving me an error message saying that it could not complete the auto-align steps needed for setup. After I shouted a load of explicatives at the printer and read the manual a hundred times I still could not get it to align. I decided what the heck and I printed a photo anyway. To my dismay all of the colors came out except blue. So I performed the nozzle cleaning and then voila the printer did an auto-align immediately and the blue ink was flowing properly.
After these minor snags, the printer is working wonderfully and I am very pleased with the results of the photos. |

| Easy to use, great price. Pictures come out great--does not look like my old inkjet but a real picture. Basic--but found papers and ink cheap, so no problem! |
Great Printer!

| I purchased this printer after having to return a Sony because it was not compatible with Macintosh. Once you get all of the wrapping off, this is a plug and play printer. The pictures are a wonderful quality, the price of ink is very reasonable, and it is a bit cheaper than other printers I looked at. I was able to download the software onto my Mac with great ease, as well. I chose this over an HP because it accepts SDHC Memory Cards, which I also just purchased. The bonus was realizing that it also prints 5X7 photos, too. The frames are a cute little addition, but a little hard to position some pictures to fit properly. I expect that I won't use this option much, anyway. Great printer at a great price! |
